Coconut chutney / Pottukadalai chutney

Ingredients:
Pottukadalai / Channa dhalia - 2-3 Tsp.
Coconut (shredded) - 1 cup
Green chillies - 2-3 Nos.
Salt to taste


Seasonings:
Mustard seeds - 1/4 Tsp.
Urad dhal - 1/2 Tsp.
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Oil - 2 Tsp.


Method:

  • Grind the coconut, pottu kadalai, green chillies, salt with little water.
  • Heat oil in pan and splutter mustard and add urad dhal, curry leaves and add the seasonings to chutney.
  • Add water to the chutney and bring it to your required consistency and check for salt.
  • Serve it with Idly, Dosa, Upma.
