Rice -1 cup (Basmathi /seeraga sambha)
Coconut milk - 1cup (Thick)
Onion - 1 (cut lengthwise)
Green chillies - 4 Nos.
Ginger & Garlic paste - 1Tsp.
Mint leaves - 1 handful
Coriander leaves - 1 handful
Cinnamon -1"
Cardamom -1
Cloves -2 Nos.
Bay leaf -1 (medium size)as
cashew nuts -5 (broken)
Water -1cup
Oil or ghee
Salt
Method:
- Soak rice for about 20mins.
- Heat oil in vessel and add all dried masala, green chillies, cashew nuts, onions, mint leaves, ginger & garlic paste, sprinkle salt.
- Saute onions until golden then add rice without water and saute for a minute.
- Now add 1 cup coconut milk and 1 cup of water to it and add coriander leaves on top.
- Close the lid and let it in medium flame for about 10mins and remove it from flame.
