Kothamalli/ Coriander leaves Thuvayal

Ingredients:

Kothamalli/ Coriander leaves - 2 bunch
Red chillies - 6 Nos.
Urad dhal - 1 full Tsp.
Tamarind - 1/4 lemon size
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 Tsp.

Method:

  • Wash the coriander leaves, drain without water and cut them with soft stem.
  • Heat a kadai/pan add 2 Tsp. oil and fry urad dhal and red chillies till dhal turns light brown. 
  • Now add coriander leaves and saute for 10 mins then add tamarind and saute for 2 mins.
  • Let it cool then add salt and grind it to your required consistency without adding water.
  • Serve it with Rice, Idli, Dosa.

* Coconut can also be added.
