Ingredients:
Rice -1 cup
Tomatoes -2 Nos. (finely chopped)
Onion -1 (finely chopped)
Green chillies - 4 Nos.
Garlic - 3 flakes (chopped)
Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp.
Chilly powder -3/4 Tsp.
Coriander powder -1/2 Tsp.
Curry leaves -1 sprig
Coriander leaves -1 Tsp. (chopped)
Mustard -1/4 Tsp.
Urad dhal -1/2 Tsp.
Cloves - 2 Nos.
Cinnamon - 1 stick (1 inch)
Oil
Salt
Method:
- Wash and cook rice or even left over rice can also be used.
- Heat oil in pan (kadai) splutter mustard seeds and add cloves, cinnamon stick, urad dhal, curry leaves, green chillies, chopped garlic, onions.
- Saute onions till golden and and then add chopped tomatoes, salt let it smash nicely.
- Now add Turmeric, chilly powder, coriander powder and cook for 10 mins on medium flame without sticking it to the pan (if needed water can be added).
- Garnish with coriander leaves and mix it to the cooked rice and serve hot.
